Gentrack water billing and CRM project kicks-off at the Water Authority of Fiji

Following the announcement of the new contract on 1 September, Gentrack is pleased to welcome the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) to its growing list of utilities customers in the Pacific.

Following an extensive tender process, Gentrack’s pre-configured billing and CRM software system, GentrackNOW was selected to modernise and streamline the Authority’s core water billing, customer care and collections processes. Gentrack CEO James Docking said the contract win further cements Gentrack’s position in the region, with its billing system also in use by the Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA).

“We’ve been working in Fiji’s energy sector for over 15 years, initially implementing the Gentrack billing software in 1998 to support electricity billing for the whole of Fiji. Working with FEA has provided a strong understanding of the utilities sector in Fiji and we are delighted to kick off the project with the Water Authority which includes implementation of our new self-service web-portal and executive dashboards.”

GentrackNOW is a factory configured version of Gentrack’s enterprise billing and CRM solution – Gentrack Velocity. Designed for a low cost and rapid deployment, the system provides a proven set of billing, customer management and collections capabilities, as well as essential pre-configured business processes and system parameters. This approach, says Docking, enables Gentrack to significantly reduce the project delivery timeframe.

“The window for delivery of these systems can often be tight”, continued Docking. “Our objective with GentrackNOW is to give utilities the best possible start with their project, avoiding the need for extensive business process design and reengineering. The processes and tools made available are based on our utilities experience and enable our delivery teams to implement the software in 3-4 months.”

GentrackNOW has been implemented at a number of energy and water utilities in the UK and Ireland including Flow Energy, LoCO2 Energy and Dalkia. The solution provides a strong roadmap to Gentrack Velocity through activation of enterprise wide capabilities designed for rapidly growing utilities in competitive energy and water markets.
