AASL (Sri Lanka) Selects 20/20 Consortium

Gentrack, a leading provider of airport management solutions announced today the signing of a new contract with EW Information Systems Limited (E-WIS), in respect of a contract with Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited AASL. The project includes the implementation of Oracle ERP, hSenid Payroll and the deployment of Gentrack’s comprehensive 20/20 Aeronautical Billing system to AASL for Sri Lanka’s two main airports; Katunayake/Bandaranaike International Airport and the AIS Aerodrome Unit situated at Colombo Airport, Ratmalana.

AASL’s selection was based on the level of excellence of the solutions provided, in addition to the proven integration of 20/20’s Aeronautical Billing with the Oracle ERP system. The system, designed to streamline an airport’s financial operations is proven in airports around the world and is currently being implemented at a number of airports including Hong Kong International Airport, one of the largest and fastest growing airports in the world.

This win extends 20/20’s growing presence in Asia. 20/20 General Manager Nigel Farley commented “It’s great to welcome AASL to the 20/20 family. Asia is a rapidly growing aviation market so we are thrilled that AASL has decided to partner with us. In conjunction with E-W Information Systems, this project highlights our commitment to the region. AASL can be confident of a long term partner, committed to supporting their vision of growth for the future.”

The project, which also includes 20/20’s Reporting Suite and system integration with Oracle Financials, commenced implementation at the beginning of September last year. Farley concluded, “We have a proud history of successfully implementing our Airport Management System to airports all around the world. Our core objective is to work alongside AASL to deliver a solution which streamlines their financial operations and optimises their overall business operations.”

Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd is a fully government owned company with the responsibility to manage and develop civil airports in Sri Lanka. Among the airports to fall under the jurisdiction of AASL is Sri Lanka’s only international airport, Bandaranaike International Airport which sees over 6 million passengers through its gates each year.
