ACEN and Gentrack partner for utility software solutions

Strategic technology partnership helps in operational efficiencies and future-proofing the business.

ACEN, a leading renewable energy company in the Philippines, has entered a strategic partnership with Gentrack, a global leader in utility software solutions. This collaboration marks a crucial step in ACEN’s efforts to scale up its technology infrastructure, thus helping streamline operations and future-proof its business.

ACEN is part of the Ayala Group, the first conglomerate in the Philippines with a reported revenue of ₱341.9 billion (around $6 billion USD) in 2023 and known for its heritage of nation-building, leveraging on business innovation and capability-building. Ayala’s energy arm ACEN plays a pivotal role in the group’s sustainability goals and expansion strategy. With a focused commitment to renewable energy, ACEN is aggressively expanding its footprint across Asia Pacific, aiming to achieve 20 GW of renewable capacity by 2030. This ambitious growth plan underscores Ayala’s dedication to driving sustainable development and maintaining its leadership in the region’s energy transition.

As the energy landscape continues to evolve, ACEN is committed to adopting solutions to boost its operational efficiency and stay on the curve with innovation. The implementation of Gentrack’s technology stack will provide that capability.

The solution will be hosted on AWS Cloud and includes Salesforce, which has been the world’s leading CRM platform for several years. Salesforce is seamlessly pre-integrated into Gentrack’s composable solution designed specifically for utilities. It features pre-packaged journeys that utilise low-code/no-code technology, eliminating the need for extensive customisations. This allows maximum flexibility for ACEN while helping reduce the cost-to-serve.

“We are excited to collaborate with Gentrack in this critical phase of our technological evolution,” said Tony Valdez, ACEN’s Senior Vice President and Head of Market Transformation. “This partnership aligns with our long-term strategy, providing the scalability, flexibility, and reliability to stay ahead in the dynamic energy space.”
