John Scott appointed as non-executive director

Gentrack Group Limited has appointed John Scott as a non-executive director, effective January 2026.

John brings experience across global technology, digital transformation and business strategy. His executive background spans technology, product innovation and business transition, including leadership roles in high-growth environments and global scaling.

Background and experience

John was previously CEO of Invenco, a private company providing self-service payment technology solutions. Under his leadership, Invenco was sold to Vontier, a US-based industrial manufacturing company, in late 2022 and became known as Invenco by GVR.

John currently holds several board leadership roles, including:

• Executive chair of EROAD (NZX:ERD)
• Chair of AoFrio (NZX:AOF)
• Chair of Digital Matter
• Chair of Vessev, a hydrofoiling electric vessel company

He was also previously an independent director of asBuilt (digital engineering and software development) and held senior executive roles at Navico Holdings, supporting the design and manufacture of integrated systems and products for marine, RV and industrial markets. Earlier in his career, John worked at Navman and NYSE-listed Brunswick.
