Gentrack supports 10 UK energy retailers through key MHHS

Gentrack has successfully enabled 10 UK energy retailers to pass two critical milestones – M8 and M10 – in the Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programme.

M8 establishes the updated legal and technical infrastructure, while M10 marks the point at which this new system is ready for the large-scale migration of electricity meters and settlement data.

The MHHS programme is central to Great Britain’s energy transition. By enabling half-hourly consumption data for all electricity customers, it will support a more flexible, efficient, and greener system. Ofgem forecasts consumer and business benefits of between £1.6 billion and £4.5 billion by 2045.
